The Fox Motors Hockey Association is a development first club dedicated to helping youth players achieve their goals in hockey and teaching life’s lessons through youth sports.
Learn To Play
The objectives of the program are to:
- Strengthen coordination of player's ability to skate and stick handle at the same time
- Passing, shooting, and scoring
- Continue skating skills including strong stride and speed forwards, backwards skating, hockey stops, and advanced edgework
- Give every child a chance to play hockey and experience a feeling of success
- Learn how to be a good teammate
- Keep children excited and motivated to continue hockey
Pricing and Information
Cost: $132 for 6 weeks
Player will also need to have a 25/26 USA Hockey Number (register: https://membership.usahockey.com/) which is good for the entire 2025/2025 season
**The system will require you to enter your usa hockey number during registration. Make sure your players full name, birthday, and zip code match in both USA Hockey and LeagueApps to avoid any errors. We are a USA Hockey registered organization meaning all coaches, and players are registered. It provided resources for parents as well as secondary accident insurance. Parents are also asked to upload a birth certificate as we are required to have this to roster our players with USA Hockey. We do not keep copies of these on any database and they are in a secure format.
What's Included: Twice a week practices conducted by experienced and certified coaches. A player jersey is also included.
Format: Skating skills, stick and puck handling, shooting, competition and scrimmage opportunities. Teams will be formed based on the number of participants and age groups and teams will play 3-on-3 hockey.

Southside Skating School
The first place to start in your hockey journey is in the Southside Learn to Skate program. Once skaters complete up to Basic 3 in our program they are eligible for Learn to Play

FAQ
Bauer or CCM Hockey Skates are recommended. Facebook marketplace has many used options! They do not have to be brand new
- Helmet: Must be HECC certified and include a full cage or face shield, according to USA Hockey.
- Neck Guard: Provides protection to the neck area.
- Shoulder Pads: Offer protection to the shoulders and upper body.
- Elbow Pads: Protect the elbows.
- Hockey Gloves: Protect the hands and wrists.
- Hockey Pants: Designed to protect the hips, thighs, and lower back.
- Shin Guards: Protect the shins and knees.
- Skates: Specifically designed for ice hockey (not street hockey or a mini stick)
- Hockey Stick: Essential for playing the game.
- Hockey Socks: Worn over the shin guards.
We do not offer refunds if your players miss a class.
Any injury, prolonged illness, or other extenuating circumstances can be shared with the program director and is up to their discretion.
